Course representative’s overall assessment of the course 

Course overall was very good. High participation both of international and Swedish students (approx >80% each lesson!). Very few missed the compulsory parts of the course (All those that missed let me know beforehand)

Comments regarding the feedback from the students

students have been asked in class to do course evaluations, but very few responses. Hard to get a good idea about the course with so few responses. 

Any events during the course that may have influenced the course success – 

International students always go on holidays. After the course started the submission dates, compulsory seminars and lecture dates were adjusted to match better with these trips/holidays which made it possible for the students to participate in higher numbers. 

Comments regarding the examination results –

this was the first year of using only multiple-choice questions on the exam. The primary reason for this was that the Wiseflow system that we must use is a very ineffective system to use. The secondary reason is that when asked the students replied that they would prefer multiple-choice exam. A third reason, and one that is very useful, is that it is possible to create questions that incorporate a greater percentage of the course. A very high percentage of the class passed the exam, but it is impossible to say if it was because this group of students were good (I would say yes) or the exam was too easy. 

Other:

Being the course coordinator and examiner for both this course and FE210G International Management is extremely useful. By being able to coordinate the two course with content, when the lectures, seminars and assignments are timetabled, and then having good contact with the students provided dividends. 

Planned changes/improvements to the course –

Some small changes have already been made to the course requirements based on students feedback during the course and after each lecture, seminar and assignments. These changes will make the course more valuable, educational, related to real life and with a more defined theme throughout.
