Course representative’s overall assessment of the course module:

This is a well-functioning course module. However, attendance at scheduled teaching was low, particularly toward the end of the course module.

Comments regarding the feedback from the students:

As only eight out of 44 students filled in the evaluation, the results are far from representative of the group. Those who did respond were generally satisfied with the course. Only one of the eight students who responded considered the course substandard. The others gave positive evaluations. 

Summary of the free-text answers in the course feedback:

With one exception, free-text answers are positive, praising the structure of the course module, the content of the lectures, and the interactive workshops. Students find lectures, seminars, and workshops to support their learning. Only one student differs from this assessment. Several students however find the lectures to be too short for the content to be covered and suggest moving teaching time from seminars to lectures. One of the students voices a concern about low attendance.

Attendance was poor towards the end of the course module.

Comments regarding the examination results:

The examination results were good overall with a low number of failures. 

Planned changes/improvements to the course: 

Continuous assessment will be considered, making seminars and workshops obligatory.
