The schedule and format of the moments in the course worked well. One of the teachers was new to the course so some adjustments had to be made but overall the course ran smoothly. We are thankful to the students who answered the survey!

The student comments are generally helpful and point out specific areas that can be improved. The response rate is 17 %, which is low. This was a big class with 88 students in total, so we should adopt stategies to increase the amount of students who fill out the evaluations. The course received 3 points over 5. There is room to improve some aspects which are detailed under course development.

A repeating comment was about the home examination. The students had a hard time answering all the question in the given time, mainly due to the fact that they struggled to add references to the course literature in the text. The seminars were generally considered short (45 minutes x4 groups) and some requested to have longer or more seminars. Seminar 2 and 3 were especially appreciated by the students for their content/format (role play or film analyis). The lectures were considered not interactive enough, and some students experienced them as boring/repetative while some others enjoyed the lectures. The topics that are covered in the class were appreciated, the student found them interesting, while some pointed out that it did not give a good enough overview of the course literature. Another repeating comment was that there was a lot of text to read. Some also expressed that they enjoyed being in a class with international students.

Eventuella händelser under kursens gång som påverkat resultatet av kursvärderingen 
 

The exam date has been pushed a week further before the course started. However, this effected some students' plans in terms of summer jobs and we received several complaints about it. There was also a confusion about where to find the obligatory readings since one of the course books did not have a digital copy (not available for download) and was not uploaded to BB as pdf from the start. The teachers later provided a read-only digital link to the book to help out students who could not find the book. However this created discontent among the ones who already bought a copy.

Even though the take home exam format was considered difficult and students expressed concerns about time, very few failed the exam. The grades were as follows:

(SO014G) VG 20%, G 80%, U 0%

(SO015G) VG 40%, G 57% , U 3%

(SO022G) A 13% , B 25% , C 25% , D 12% , E 0% , F 25%

Several international students expressed that they appreciated the lectures and thanked the teachers.

Planerad kursutveckling 

After a course teacher meeting the following changes has been planned:

- The exam questions will be reduced to 2 instead of 3 questions to give more time to answer the questions. The requirement to refer to course literature will not be changed to avoid AI use.

- The lectures will be improved to increase student interaction.

- The article supplementations are removed from the mandatory readings.
