The workshop format also allowed students to gradually build toward the final assignment.

Events during the course that may have influenced the evaluation results

No unexpected or disruptive events occurred during the course period. The course followed its planned schedule, and all learning activities were implemented as intended.

Comments on examination results

Examination assignments reflect a generally high level of engagement and understanding. Most students demonstrated the ability to apply key concepts in their analyses. Some unclarities in theory/method-distinctions and allowed sources.
Comments on other types of evaluation during the course
Students appeared to appreciate the opportunity to learn through doing, especially in applying theories to visual materials of their own choice. The workshop assignments were, for the most part, of a very high standard. Several students expressed that the workshop tasks helped prepare them for the final assignment.

Additional comments

One recurring point in the feedback concerns the timing of the final assignment instructions. While the assignment was introduced and explained during the second half of the course, several students suggested that having access to the full instructions earlier would have reduced stress and helped with planning. This is important to take into consideration for future iterations. From the teaching perspective, the aim was to scaffold learning gradually before presenting the final brief in detail, but this will be reviewed for clarity.

There were also some requests for a more varied approach beyond workshops. This may suggest a desire for additional formats to enrich the learning experience further.

Planned course development

- Release the full final assignment instructions earlier in the course, while still scaffolding the learning process through workshop activities.
- Consider introducing one or two additional learning formats beyond workshops
