Lärarens egen helhetsbild av delkursen 
Language and power is a very compact course module that is meant to broaden students’ perspectives through comprehensive mapping of English language and power dynamics from a global perspective. The course was taught this year by a new teacher.

Kommentar kring resultatet av studenternas kursvärdering 
Only 5 out of 24 students responded to this survey, which means that it is not representative of student opinion. 

En sammanfattning av kursvärderingens fritextsvar  
Students’ free-text commentary centralized classroom activities and course materials. However, the students who responded gave contradictory evaluations: class discussion time for linking the materials to Swedish teaching contexts was requested and presentation discussions with exactly that scope were appreciated.

Eventuella händelser under kursens gång som påverkat resultatet av kursvärderingen 
The examination form had to be changed due to the technical conditions of the hall exam.  

Kommentar kring examinationsresultat 
On the whole, students performed very well, achieving good results in both assignments:  their in-class presentations were well researched, performed, and discussed. The exam results were almost exactly 50% G and 50% VG, and there were no fails, which indicates scope-classwork-assessment alignment. 
 
Kommentar kring andra former av utvärdering som skett under kursen, exempelvis av enskilda läraktiviteter 
At a meeting with the English subject, student representatives commented on the textbook. They found the examples from various places in the work where English is spoken interesting, but missed examples from educational contexts.

Övriga kommentarer 
Concerns raised regarding exam preparation and hall examination time limits need to be viewed in relation to the exam results and the new exam format.  

Planerad kursutveckling 
The placement of this course module in period four, right before and after the holidays, is a limiting factor when it comes to course development. The heavier theoretical versus practical focus of the course module needs to be presented more explicitly to the students.
