Course coordinator's own overall view of the course: This course aims to prepare students to write their master’s thesis. It includes lectures and group work on systematic literature reviews, research ethics, and scientific writing. A substantial part of the course is held in the library, where a librarian supports students in navigating their research topics and searching relevant databases. All these activities support students to better understand their research topic and research process in general. 
 

Comment on the results of the students' course evaluation: All students (100%) who participated in the evaluation reported that the course enabled them to achieve the course objectives. Overall, students rated the course as very good or good.
 

A summary of the course evaluation free text answers: Students were satisfied with the course structure and content. They noted that the supervision provided during the course was helpful, and that the instructions were clear, with step-by-step guidance available online. Students also appreciated the homework assignments, describing them as a useful way to progress gradually and systematically.

Comment on examination results: All but one student who participated in the examination successfully demonstrated their understanding of the course objectives.
 

Comments on other forms of evaluation that took place during the course, for example of individual learning activities: Class discussions suggested that students found the step-by-step guidance in database searching and the focus on ethical considerations particularly engaging, and that they were motivated to learn more.
 

Other comments: Some students had to withdraw from the course due to personal circumstances or new employment. A larger class size might have contributed to higher motivation and stronger group dynamics among the remaining students.
